내가 고난당하는 날에 주의 얼굴을 내게 숨기지 마소서. 주의 귀를 내게 기울이사 내가 부르는 날에 속히 내게 응답하소서. |

내 날들이 연기같이 소멸되며 내 뼈들이 화로같이 탔나이다. |

My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread. |
내 마음이 얻어맞아 풀같이 시들었으므로 내가 빵 먹는 것도 잊고 있나이다. |

By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin. |
내 신음 소리로 인하여 내 뼈들이 살갗에 붙었나이다. |

내 원수들이 종일토록 나를 모욕하고 나를 대적하기 위해 미친 자들이 맹세하며 나를 대적하나이다. |

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping, |
