A Song of degrees for Solomon. | Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. |
(솔로몬을 위한 시, 위로 올라가는 노래) 주께서 집을 세우지 아니하시면 그것을 세우는 자들의 수고가 헛되며 주께서 도시를 지키지 아니하시면 파수꾼의 깨어 있음이 헛되도다. |

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. |
너희가 일찍 일어나고 늦도록 앉아 있으며 고통의 빵을 먹음이 헛되도다. 이처럼 그분께서 자신이 사랑하는 자에게 잠을 주시는도다. |

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. |
보라, 자식들은 주의 유산이요, 태의 열매는 그분의 보상이로다. |

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. |
젊은 시절의 자식들은 용사의 손에 있는 화살들 같으니 |

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. |
자기 화살 통에 그것들이 가득한 자는 행복하도다. 그들이 부끄러움을 당하지 아니하며 성문에서 원수들을 마주 대하여 말하리로다. |

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. |
네 손이 수고한 것을 네가 먹으리라. 네가 행복하고 잘되리로다. |

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. |
네 아내는 네 집 곁에서 열매를 많이 맺는 포도나무 같으며 네 자식들은 네 상 둘레의 올리브 묘목 같으리로다. |

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD. |
보라, 주를 두려워하는 자는 이와 같이 복을 받으리로다. |

The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. |
주께서 시온으로부터 네게 복을 주시리니 너는 네 평생토록 예루살렘의 복을 보며 |

Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel. |
참으로 네 자식들의 자식들을 볼 것이요, 이스라엘 위에는 화평이 있으리로다. |
