(악장에게 준 다윗의 시) 오 주여, 주께서 나를 살피시고 나를 아셨나이다. |

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. |
주께서 나의 앉고 일어서는 것을 아시고 멀리서도 나의 생각을 이해하시오며 |

|
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. |
나의 행로와 나의 눕는 것을 둘러싸시므로 나의 모든 길을 익히 아시오니 |

|
For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. |
보소서, 오 주여, 내 혀의 말 중에 주께서 알지 못하는 것이 단 하나도 없나이다. |

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. |
주께서 나를 앞뒤로 에워싸시고 주의 손을 내 위에 얹으셨나이다. |

|
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. |
그런 지식이 내게 너무 놀라우며 높아서 내가 능히 그것에 미치지 못하나이다. |

|
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? |
내가 주의 영을 떠나 어디로 가리이까? 혹은 내가 주의 앞을 떠나 어디로 피하리이까? |

|
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. |
내가 하늘로 올라갈지라도 주께서 거기 계시오며 내가 지옥에 내 침상을 펼지라도, 보소서, 주께서 거기 계시나이다. |

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; |
내가 아침의 날개들을 취하여 바다 맨 끝 지역들에 가서 거할지라도 |

|
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. |
거기서도 주의 손이 나를 인도하시며 주의 오른손이 나를 붙드시리이다. |

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. |
내가 말하기를, 어둠이 반드시 나를 덮으리라, 할지라도 밤조차 나를 두르는 빛이 되리이다. |

|
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. |
참으로 어둠이 주를 떠나 숨지 못하며 밤이 낮처럼 빛을 내나니 주께는 어둠과 빛이 다 같으니이다. |

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. |
주께서 내 콩팥을 소유하셨으며 내 어머니 태에서 나를 덮으셨나이다. |

|
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. |
내가 주를 찬양하리니 내가 두렵고도 놀랍게 만들어졌나이다. 주께서 행하시는 일들이 놀라우므로 내 혼이 그것을 매우 잘 아나이다. |

|
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. |
내가 은밀한 가운데 만들어지고 땅의 가장 낮은 부분들에서 묘하게 꾸며졌을 때에 나의 실체가 주께 숨겨지지 아니하였나이다. |

|
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. |
주의 눈이 아직 불완전한 나의 실체를 보셨으며 계속해서 형성된 나의 모든 지체들이 주의 책에 기록되되 그것들 중에 아직 하나도 존재하지 않았을 때에 기록되었나이다. |

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! |
오 하나님이여, 주의 생각들이 또한 내게 어찌 그리 보배로운지요! 그것들을 합친 것이 어찌 그리 큰지요! |

|
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. |
내가 그것들을 세려 할진대 그것들의 수가 모래보다 더 많나이다. 내가 깰 때에도 여전히 주와 함께 있나이다. |

|
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. |
오 하나님이여, 주께서 반드시 사악한 자들을 죽이시리이다. 그러므로 피를 흘리게 하는 자들아, 너희는 내게서 떠날지어다. |

|
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. |
그들이 주를 향해 악하게 말하며 주의 원수들이 주의 이름을 헛되이 취하나이다. |

|
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? |
오 주여, 내가 주를 미워하는 자들을 미워하지 아니하나이까? 주를 치려고 일어나는 자들로 인하여 내가 근심하지 아니하나이까? |

|
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. |
내가 그들을 완전한 미움으로 미워하오며 그들을 나의 원수로 여기나이다. |

|
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: |
오 하나님이여, 나를 살피사 내 마음을 아시고 나를 시험하사 내 생각들을 아시옵소서. |

|
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. |
또 내 안에 어떤 사악한 길이 있는지 보시고 나를 영존하는 길로 인도하소서. |
