내 모든 뼈가 말하기를, 주여, 누가 주와 같으니이까? 주는 가난한 자를 그보다 훨씬 강한 자에게서 건지시고 참으로 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자를 노략하는 자에게서 건지시는 이시니이다, 하리이다. |

나로 말하건대 그들이 병들었을 때에 내가 굵은 베로 내 옷을 삼고 금식하며 내 혼을 겸허히 낮추었더니 내 기도가 바로 내 품에 돌아왔나이다. |

I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother. |
그가 마치 내 친구나 형제인 것처럼 내가 행동하였으며 내가 크게 몸을 굽히고 애곡하기를 자기 어머니로 인해 애곡하는 자같이 하였나이다. |

그들은 연회에서 위선을 행하며 조롱하는 자들과 함께 나를 향하여 자기들의 이를 갈았나이다. |

Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. |
주여, 어느 때까지 바라보려 하시나이까? 내 혼을 그들이 꾀하는 파멸에서 구조하시며 내 사랑하는 것을 사자들에게서 구조하소서. |

그들은 화평을 말하지 아니하고 오히려 땅에서 평안히 거하는 자들을 대적하여 속이는 일들을 꾀하나니 |
