A Psalm of David. | Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. |
(다윗의 시) 오 주여, 나와 다투는 자들에게 내 사정을 변호하시고 나와 싸우는 자들과 싸우소서. |

|
Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. |
큰 방패와 작은 방패를 잡고 일어서시사 나의 도움이 되소서. |

|
Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. |
또한 창도 빼사 나를 핍박하는 자들을 대적하여 길을 막으시며 또 내 혼에게 이르시기를, 나는 네 구원이라, 하소서. |

|
Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. |
내 혼을 찾는 자들이 당황하여 수치를 당하게 하시며 나를 해하려고 꾀하는 자들이 뒤로 물러가 혼란에 빠지게 하소서. |

|
Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them. |
그들을 바람 앞의 겨와 같게 하시고 주의 천사가 그들을 뒤쫓게 하소서. |

|
Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them. |
그들의 길을 어둡고 미끄럽게 하시며 주의 천사가 그들을 핍박하게 하소서. |

|
For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. |
그들이 까닭 없이 내 혼을 해하려고 구덩이를 파며 까닭 없이 나를 잡으려고 거기에 자기 그물을 숨겼나이다. |

|
Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. |
멸망이 알지 못하는 사이에 그에게 닥치게 하시며 그가 숨긴 그물에 그가 잡히게 하시되 바로 그 멸망에 그가 떨어지게 하소서. |

|
And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation. |
그러면 내 혼이 주를 기뻐하고 그분의 구원을 즐거워하리이다. |

|
All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him? |
내 모든 뼈가 말하기를, 주여, 누가 주와 같으니이까? 주는 가난한 자를 그보다 훨씬 강한 자에게서 건지시고 참으로 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자를 노략하는 자에게서 건지시는 이시니이다, 하리이다. |

|
False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. |
거짓 증인들이 일어나 내가 알지도 못하는 일들을 내 책임으로 떠넘기며 |

|
They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. |
내게 선을 악으로 갚아 내 혼을 상하게 하였으나 |

|
But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. |
나로 말하건대 그들이 병들었을 때에 내가 굵은 베로 내 옷을 삼고 금식하며 내 혼을 겸허히 낮추었더니 내 기도가 바로 내 품에 돌아왔나이다. |

|
I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother. |
그가 마치 내 친구나 형제인 것처럼 내가 행동하였으며 내가 크게 몸을 굽히고 애곡하기를 자기 어머니로 인해 애곡하는 자같이 하였나이다. |

|
But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: |
그러나 그들이 나의 역경을 기뻐하여 함께 모였나니 참으로 비열한 자들이 함께 모여 나를 대적하되 내가 그것을 알지 못하였으며 그들이 나를 찢고 멈추지 아니하였나이다. |

With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth. |
그들은 연회에서 위선을 행하며 조롱하는 자들과 함께 나를 향하여 자기들의 이를 갈았나이다. |

|
Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. |
주여, 어느 때까지 바라보려 하시나이까? 내 혼을 그들이 꾀하는 파멸에서 구조하시며 내 사랑하는 것을 사자들에게서 구조하소서. |

|
I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. |
내가 큰 회중 가운데서 주께 감사를 드리고 많은 백성 가운데서 주를 찬양하리이다. |

|
Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. |
내 원수 된 자들이 부당하게 나를 누르고 기뻐하지 못하게 하시며 까닭 없이 나를 미워하는 자들이 눈짓하지 못하게 하소서. |

|
For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. |
그들은 화평을 말하지 아니하고 오히려 땅에서 평안히 거하는 자들을 대적하여 속이는 일들을 꾀하나니 |

|
Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it. |
참으로 그들이 나를 향하여 입을 크게 벌리고 이르기를, 아하, 아하, 우리 눈이 그것을 보았도다, 하였나이다. |

|
This thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me. |
오 주여, 주께서 이것을 보셨사오니 잠잠하지 마옵소서. 오 주여, 나를 멀리하지 마옵소서. |

|
Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord. |
나의 하나님, 나의 주여, 분발하여 일어나시고 나에 대한 심판을 위해 곧 내 사정을 위해 깨시옵소서. |

|
Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. |
오 주 내 하나님이여, 주의 의에 따라 나를 판단하사 그들이 나를 누르고 기뻐하지 못하게 하소서. |

|
Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. |
그들이 마음속으로 이르기를, 아하, 우리가 그것을 성취하였다, 하지 못하게 하시며 또, 우리가 그를 삼켜 버렸다, 하지 못하게 하소서. |

|
Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. |
나의 상함을 기뻐하는 자들이 부끄러움을 당하고 함께 혼란에 빠지게 하시며 나를 향하여 자기를 높이는 자들이 수치와 치욕으로 옷 입게 하소서. |

|
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. |
나의 의로운 사정을 지지하는 자들이 기뻐 외치고 즐거워하게 하소서. 참으로 그들이 계속해서 이르기를, 자기 종의 형통함을 기뻐하시는 주를 크게 높일지어다, 하게 하소서. |

And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long. |
그리하시면 내 혀가 주의 의를 말하며 종일토록 주를 찬양하는 말을 하리이다. |
