To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, Maschil. | We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. |
(고라의 아들들을 위해 악장에게 준 마스길) 오 하나님이여, 우리 조상들이 주께서 그들의 때 곧 옛 시대에 행하신 일을 우리에게 일러 주었고 우리가 우리 귀로 들었나이다. |

How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. |
주께서 주의 손으로 이교도들을 몰아내시고 그들을 심으셨으며 주께서 그 백성들을 괴롭게 하시고 그들을 내쫓으셨나이다. |

For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. |
그들이 자기들의 칼로 그 땅을 얻어 소유하지도 아니하였고 그들의 팔이 그들을 구원하지도 아니하였으며 오직 주께서 그들에게 호의를 베푸셨으므로 주의 오른손과 주의 팔과 주의 얼굴빛이 그리하셨나이다. |

Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob. |
오 하나님이여, 주는 나의 왕이시오니 야곱을 건지도록 명령하소서. |

|
Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us. |
우리가 주를 의지하여 우리 원수들을 누르고 우리를 치려고 일어나는 자들을 주의 이름으로 밟으리이다. |

|
For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. |
내가 나의 활을 신뢰하지 아니할 것이요, 나의 칼도 나를 구원하지 못하리이다. |

|
But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. |
오직 주께서 우리 원수들에게서 우리를 구원하시고 우리를 미워한 자들이 수치를 당하게 하셨나이다. |

In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah. |
우리가 종일토록 하나님을 자랑하며 주의 이름을 영원히 찬양하나이다. 셀라. |

But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies. |
그러나 주께서 우리를 내버리사 수치를 당하게 하셨으며 우리의 군대와 함께 나아가지 아니하시나이다. |

Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves. |
주께서 우리를 원수에게서 돌아서게 하시니 우리를 미워하는 자들이 자기들을 위해 노략하나이다. |

Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen. |
주께서 우리를 먹을 것으로 정한 양처럼 내주시고 이교도들 가운데 우리를 흩으셨나이다. |

Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price. |
주께서 주의 백성을 거저 파시되 그들을 판 값으로 주의 재산을 불리지는 못하시나이다. |

Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us. |
주께서 우리를 우리 이웃들에게 모욕거리가 되게 하시며 우리를 둘러싼 자들에게 조롱거리와 조소거리가 되게 하시나이다. |

Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people. |
주께서 우리를 이교도들 가운데서 이야깃거리가 되게 하시며 그 백성들 가운데서 머리 흔듦을 당하게 하시나이다. |

|
My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me, |
내 앞에 계속해서 나의 당황함이 있으며 내 얼굴의 수치가 나를 덮었으니 |

|
For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger. |
이는 모욕하고 모독하는 자의 목소리 때문이요, 원수와 복수하는 자 때문이니이다. |

|
All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant. |
이 모든 일이 우리에게 임하였으나 우리가 주를 잊지 아니하였으며 주의 언약 가운데서 거짓으로 행하지 아니하였나이다. |

Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way; |
우리의 마음은 돌아서지 아니하고 우리의 걸음은 주의 길에서 벗어나지 아니하였으되 |

Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death. |
주께서는 우리를 용들의 처소에서 심히 상하게 하시고 사망의 그늘로 우리를 덮으셨나이다. |

|
If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; |
우리가 우리 하나님의 이름을 잊어버렸거나 이방 신을 향해 우리의 손을 내밀었다면 |

|
Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart. |
하나님께서 이 일을 찾아내지 못하시리요? 그분은 마음의 은밀한 일들을 아시는도다. |

|
Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. |
참으로 우리가 종일토록 주를 위해 죽임을 당하며 도살당할 양같이 여겨졌나이다. |

Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever. |
오 주여, 깨소서. 어찌하여 주무시나이까? 일어나시고 우리를 영원히 버리지 마소서. |

|
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression? |
어찌하여 주께서 주의 얼굴을 숨기시고 우리의 고난과 학대받는 것을 잊으시나이까? |

|
For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth. |
우리의 혼이 진토에 꿇어 엎드리고 우리의 배가 땅에 붙나이다. |

|
Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake. |
일어나 우리를 도우소서. 주의 긍휼로 인하여 우리를 구속하소서. |
