사람이 다툼을 그치는 것이 존귀가 되거늘 어리석은 자는 다 참견하고자 하느니라. |

게으른 자는 춥다고 밭을 갈지 아니하리니 그러므로 그가 수확 때에 구걸할지라도 아무것도 얻지 못하리라. |

사람의 마음에 있는 계략은 깊은 물 같거니와 명철한 자는 그것을 길어 내리로다. |

Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD. |
서로 다른 추와 서로 다른 되는 둘 다 주께 똑같이 가증한 것이니라. |
