The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal, |
야게의 아들 아굴의 말씀들 곧 대언이라. 그 사람이 이디엘 곧 이디엘과 우갈에게 말하였느니라. |

|
Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. |
참으로 나는 누구보다도 더 짐승 같으며 내게는 사람의 명철이 있지 아니하노라. |

| 잠 30:3 |
|
I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. |
나는 지혜도 배우지 못하였고 내게는 거룩한 것들에 대한 지식도 있지 아니하노라. |

| 잠 30:4 |
|
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? |
누가 하늘에 오르셨느냐? 혹은 내려가셨느냐? 누가 바람을 자기 주먹 안에 모으셨느냐? 누가 물을 옷에 싸셨느냐? 누가 땅의 모든 끝을 굳게 세우셨느냐? 네가 말할 수 있거든 그분의 이름은 무엇이며 그분의 아들의 이름은 무엇이냐? |

|
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. |
하나님의 모든 말씀은 순수하며 그분은 자신을 신뢰하는 자들에게 방패가 되시느니라. |

|
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. |
너는 그분의 말씀들에 더하지 말라. 그분께서 너를 책망하실 터인즉 네가 거짓말쟁이로 드러날까 염려하노라. |

|
Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: |
내가 두 가지 일을 주께 요청하였사오니 내가 죽기 전에 그것들을 내게 거절하지 마시옵소서. |

| 잠 30:8 |
|
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: |
헛된 것과 거짓말들을 내게서 멀리 옮기시오며 나를 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시며 내게 알맞은 양식으로 나를 먹이시옵소서. |

|
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. |
내가 배불러서 주를 부인하고 말하기를, 주가 누구냐? 할까 염려하오며 또는 내가 가난하여 도둑질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 헛되이 취할까 염려하나이다. |

|
Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty. |
종을 그의 주인에게 고소하지 말라. 그가 너를 저주하면 네가 죄 있는 자로 드러날까 염려하노라. |

|
There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. |
자기 아버지를 저주하며 자기 어머니를 축복하지 아니하는 세대가 있느니라. |

| 잠 30:12 |
|
There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. |
자기 눈에는 순결하여도 여전히 자기의 더러움에서 씻기지 않은 세대가 있느니라. |

| 잠 30:13 |
|
There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. |
한 세대가 있으니 오 그들의 눈이 어찌 그리 높은가! 그들의 눈꺼풀이 높이 들렸도다. |

| 잠 30:14 |
|
There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. |
앞니는 검 같고 어금니는 칼 같아서 가난한 자를 삼켜 땅에서 없애며 궁핍한 자를 삼켜 사람들 가운데서 없애는 세대가 있느니라. |

|
The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: |
말거머리에게, 다오. 다오, 하고 부르짖는 두 딸이 있느니라. 결코 만족하지 못하는 것 세 가지가 있으며 참으로 네 가지가, 충분하다, 하지 아니하나니 |

|
The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough. |
곧 무덤과 수태하지 못하는 태와 물로 채우지 못하는 땅과, 충분하다, 하지 아니하는 불이니라. |

| 잠 30:17 |
|
The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it. |
자기 아버지를 조롱하며 자기 어머니에게 순종하기를 싫어하는 눈은 골짜기의 까마귀들이 쪼아 내고 독수리 새끼들이 먹으리라. |

There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: |
내게 너무나도 놀라운 것 세 가지가 있으며 참으로 내가 알지 못하는 것 네 가지가 있나니 |

|
The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. |
곧 공중에 있는 독수리의 길과 바위 위에 있는 뱀의 길과 바다 한가운데 있는 배의 길과 처녀와 함께한 남자의 길이니라. |

|
Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. |
간음하는 여자의 길도 그러하니라. 그녀가 먹고 자기 입을 씻고는 말하기를, 내가 사악한 짓을 행하지 아니하였다, 하느니라. |

|
For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear: |
세 가지로 인해 땅이 평안을 잃고 네 가지로 인해 땅이 견딜 수 없나니 |

For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat; |
곧 종이 통치하는 것과 어리석은 자가 음식으로 배부른 것과 |

|
For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress. |
미운 여자가 시집간 것과 여종이 자기 여주인의 상속자가 된 것이니라. |

|
There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: |
땅 위에서 작지만 지혜가 뛰어난 것 네 가지가 있나니 |

|
The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; |
곧 강하지 않은 백성이지만 여름에 먹을 것을 예비하는 개미와 |

|
The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; |
약한 국민이지만 자기 집을 바위 속에 짓는 산토끼와 |

|
The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; |
왕이 없어도 모두가 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기와 |

|
The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces. |
자기 손으로 지탱하며 왕궁에 거하는 거미니라. |

There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going: |
잘 다니는 것 세 가지가 있으며 참으로 멋있게 다니는 것 네 가지가 있나니 |

A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any; |
곧 짐승들 가운데 가장 강하여 어떤 것 앞에서도 물러서지 아니하는 사자와 |

|
A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up. |
그레이하운드와 또 숫염소와 일어나 대적할 수 없는 왕이니라. |

| 잠 30:32 |
|
If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. |
만일 네가 어리석게 행하여 네 자신을 높였거나 혹은 악을 생각하였거든 네 손으로 입을 막으라. |

| 잠 30:33 |
|
Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife. |
참으로 우유를 저으면 버터가 나오고 코를 비틀면 피가 나는 것 같이 강제로 진노를 일으키면 다툼이 나느니라. |
