My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; |
내 아들아, 네가 만일 내 말들을 받으며 내 명령들을 네게 감추어 두기를 원하여 |

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; |
네 귀를 지혜에 기울이고 네 마음을 명철에 쏟으며 |

|
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; |
참으로 지식을 따라가며 외치고 명철을 얻으려고 네 목소리를 높이며 |

| 잠 2:4 |
|
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; |
은을 구하는 것 같이 그것을 구하고 감추어진 보화들을 찾는 것 같이 그것을 찾으면 |

|
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. |
그때에 주 두려워하는 것을 깨닫고 하나님 아는 것을 발견하리니 |

| 잠 2:6 |
|
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. |
이는 주께서 지혜를 주시며 그분의 입에서 지식과 명철이 나오기 때문이니라. |

| 잠 2:7 |
|
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. |
그분께서는 의로운 자들을 위하여 건전한 지혜를 모아 두시며 곧바르게 걷는 자들에게 방패가 되시고 |

| 잠 2:8 |
|
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. |
공의의 행로들을 지키시며 자신의 성도들의 길을 보존하시나니 |

| 잠 2:9 |
|
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. |
그런즉 네가 의와 판단의 공의와 공평을 깨달으며 참으로 모든 선한 행로를 깨달으리로다. |

| 잠 2:10 |
|
¶ When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; |
¶ 지혜가 네 마음에 들어가며 지식이 네 혼에게 기쁨이 될 때에는 |

|
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: |
분별이 너를 보존하며 명철이 너를 보호하여 |

| 잠 2:12 |
|
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; |
악한 자의 길과 비뚤어진 것들을 말하는 자에게서 너를 건져 내리라. |

| 잠 2:13 |
|
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; |
그들은 곧바른 행로들을 떠나 어두운 길들로 걸으며 |

| 잠 2:14 |
|
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; |
악 행하기를 기뻐하고 사악한 자들의 비뚤어진 것을 즐거워하나니 |

| 잠 2:15 |
|
Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: |
그들의 길들은 구부러지고 그들은 자기 행로들에서 비뚤어진 자들이로다. |

| 잠 2:16 |
|
To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; |
그것이 너를 낯선 여자에게서 곧 자기의 말들로 아첨하는 낯선 자에게서 건져 내리니 |

| 잠 2:17 |
|
Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God. |
그녀는 자기의 젊은 시절의 안내자를 버리고 자기 하나님의 언약을 잊어버리는 자니라. |

| 잠 2:18 |
|
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. |
그녀의 집은 사망으로, 그녀의 행로들은 죽은 자들에게로 기우나니 |

| 잠 2:19 |
|
None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life. |
그녀에게로 가는 자는 다시 돌아오지 아니하며 또 그들은 생명의 행로들을 붙들지 아니하느니라. |

| 잠 2:20 |
|
That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. |
이로써 네가 선한 자들의 길로 걸으며 의로운 자들의 행로들을 지키리니 |

| 잠 2:21 |
|
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. |
이는 곧바른 자들이 땅에 거하며 완전한 자들이 그 안에 남을 것이기 때문이라. |
# |
| 잠 2:22 |
|
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. |
그러나 사악한 자들은 땅에서 끊어지고 범법자들은 땅에서 뿌리째 뽑히리라. |
