He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. |
아버지도 나를 가르쳐 내게 이르기를, 내 말들을 네 마음에 간직하라. 내 명령들을 지키라. 그리하면 살리라. |

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. |
지혜를 얻으며 명철을 얻으라. 그것을 잊지 말며 내 입의 말들에서 돌이키지 말라. |

Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. |
지혜를 버리지 말라. 그리하면 그것이 너를 보존하리라. 그것을 사랑하라. 그리하면 그것이 너를 보호하리라. |

|
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. |
지혜는 으뜸가는 것이니 그러므로 지혜를 얻으라. 네가 얻은 모든 것으로 명철을 얻을지니라. |

She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. |
그것이 네 머리에 은혜의 장식을 주며 영광의 관을 네게 건네주리라, 하셨느니라. |

Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. |
오 내 아들아, 들으라. 내 말들을 받으라. 그리하면 네 삶의 햇수가 많게 되리라. |

I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. |
내가 지혜의 길로 너를 가르치며 바른 행로들로 너를 인도하였은즉 |

When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. |
네가 다닐 때에 네 걸음이 좁아지지 아니하고 네가 달릴 때에 걸려 넘어지지 아니하리라. |

Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. |
훈계는 네 생명인즉 그것을 굳게 붙잡으며 그것을 놓치지 말고 지키라. |
