Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. |
참으로 새가 보는 데서 그물을 치는 것은 허사로다. |

And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. |
그들이 자기 피를 흘리려고 숨어서 기다리며 자기 생명을 해하려고 몰래 숨어서 기다리나니 |

So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof. |
이익을 탐하는 모든 자의 길들도 이러하여 그 이익이 그것의 소유자들의 생명을 앗아가느니라. |

¶ Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: |
¶ 지혜가 밖에서 외치며 거리에서 자기 목소리를 내고 |

She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, |
군중이 모이는 중요한 곳과 성문 통로들에서 외치며 도시 안에서 자기의 말들을 내어 이르되, |

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. |
너희는 내 책망을 듣고 돌이키라. 보라, 내가 내 영을 너희에게 부어 주며 내 말들을 너희에게 알려 주리라. |

¶ Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; |
¶ 내가 불렀으나 너희가 거절하였도다. 내가 내 손을 내밀었으나 아무도 중시하지 아니하였으며 |

But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: |
도리어 너희가 내 모든 권고를 무시하고 내 책망을 전혀 원치 아니하였은즉 |

I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; |
나도 네 재난을 보고 웃으며 네 두려움이 이를 때에 조롱하리니 |

잠 1:27 |
|
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. |
그때에 네 두려움이 황폐함같이 이르고 네 멸망이 회오리바람같이 이르며 네게 고난과 번민이 이르리라. |
