다툼을 사랑하는 자는 범법을 사랑하며 자기 문을 높이는 자는 파멸을 구하느니라. |

He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief. |
비뚤어진 마음을 가진 자는 좋은 것을 얻지 못하며 뒤틀린 혀를 가진 자는 해악에 빠지느니라. |

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. |
즐거운 마음은 약같이 좋으나 상한 영은 뼈를 말리느니라. |

사악한 자는 재판의 길들을 굽게 하려고 품에서 뇌물을 취하느니라. |

지혜는 명철이 있는 자 앞에 있으나 어리석은 자의 눈은 땅 끝에 있느니라. |
