And Job answered and said, |
이에 욥이 응답하여 이르되, |

|
No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you. |
틀림없이 너희만 사람이로구나. 지혜가 너희와 함께 죽으리로다. |

| 욥 12:3 |
|
But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these? |
그러나 나도 너희만큼이나 명철하며 너희보다 못하지 아니하니 참으로 이와 같은 일들을 누가 알지 못하느냐? |

| 욥 12:4 |
|
I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn. |
내가 하나님을 부르면 그분께서 내게 대답하시는데 이런 내가 자기 이웃에게 조롱을 당하는 자처럼 되었도다. 곧바른 의인이 비웃음을 받아 조롱을 당하는도다. |

|
He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease. |
자기 발로 인해 미끄러질 자가 편안히 거하는 자의 생각 속에서 멸시받는 등불같이 되었도다. |

|
The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly. |
강도들의 장막들은 형통하고 하나님을 격노하게 하는 자들은 안전하니 하나님께서 그들의 손에 풍성히 가져다주시는도다. |

|
But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: |
그러나 이제 짐승들에게 물어보라. 그것들이 너를 가르치리라. 공중의 날짐승들에게 물어보라. 그것들이 네게 일러 주리라. |

|
Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. |
혹은 땅에게 말하라. 땅이 너를 가르치리라. 바다의 물고기들이 네게 밝히 알려 주리라. |

| 욥 12:9 |
|
Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? |
이 모든 것들을 통해 주의 손이 이 일을 이루신 줄을 누가 알지 못하느냐? |

| 욥 12:10 |
|
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. |
모든 생물의 혼과 모든 인간의 숨이 그분의 손에 있느니라. |

|
Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat? |
귀가 말들을 시험하지 아니하느냐? 입이 음식을 맛보지 아니하느냐? |

| 욥 12:12 |
|
With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. |
늙은 자에게는 지혜가 있고 많은 날을 산 자에게는 명철이 있느니라. |

| 욥 12:13 |
|
With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding. |
지혜와 힘이 그분께 있고 계략과 명철도 그분께 있나니 |

| 욥 12:14 |
|
Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening. |
보라, 그분께서 허무시면 그것을 다시 세울 수 없고 그분께서 사람을 가두시면 열 수 없느니라. |

| 욥 12:15 |
|
Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth. |
보라, 그분께서 물들을 막으시면 물들이 마르고 또한 그분께서 물들을 보내시면 물들이 땅을 뒤엎느니라. |

|
With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his. |
힘과 지혜가 그분께 있고 속는 자와 속이는 자가 그분께 속하였으므로 |

|
He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools. |
그분께서 조언자들을 노략하사 끌어가시고 재판관들을 어리석은 자가 되게 하시며 |

| 욥 12:18 |
|
He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle. |
왕들의 결박을 푸시고 띠로 그들의 허리를 줄로 동이시며 |

| 욥 12:19 |
|
He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty. |
통치자들을 노략하사 끌어가시고 강력한 자들을 넘어뜨리시며 |

| 욥 12:20 |
|
He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged. |
믿을 만한 자들의 말을 제거하시고 늙은 자들의 명철을 빼앗으시며 |

| 욥 12:21 |
|
He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty. |
통치자들에게 멸시를 쏟으시고 강력한 자들의 힘을 약하게 하시며 |
# |
| 욥 12:22 |
|
He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death. |
어둠 속에서 깊은 것들을 찾아내시고 사망의 그늘을 빛으로 끌어내시며 |

| 욥 12:23 |
|
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again. |
민족들을 흥하게도 하시고 망하게도 하시며 민족들을 크게도 하시고 다시 작게도 하시며 |

| 욥 12:24 |
|
He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. |
땅에 있는 백성들의 우두머리들의 마음을 빼앗으시고 그들을 길 없는 광야에서 방황하게 하시며 |

| 욥 12:25 |
|
They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man. |
빛이 없는 어둠 속에서 더듬게 하시고 술 취한 사람같이 비틀거리게 하시느니라. |
