Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? |
바위의 들염소가 새끼 낳는 때를 네가 아느냐? 혹은 암사슴이 새끼 낳는 때를 네가 정할 수 있느냐? |

Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth? |
그것들이 몇 달을 채워야 하는지 네가 셀 수 있느냐? 혹은 그것들이 새끼 낳는 때를 네가 아느냐? |

|
They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows. |
그것들이 몸을 구부려 자기들의 새끼들을 낳고 자기들의 고생을 내던져 버리느니라. |

|
Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them. |
그것들의 새끼들은 튼튼하여 곡식을 먹고 자라다가 나아가서는 그것들에게 되돌아오지 아니하느니라. |

|
Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass? |
누가 들나귀를 내보내어 자유롭게 하였느냐? 혹은 누가 들나귀의 묶는 띠들을 풀어 주었느냐? |

|
Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings. |
내가 광야를 그것의 집으로, 불모지를 그것의 거처로 삼았느니라. |

|
He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver. |
들나귀는 도시의 군중들을 비웃으며 몰이꾼의 외치는 소리도 무시하고 |

|
The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing. |
산등성이를 자기의 초장으로 삼아 모든 푸른 것을 찾느니라. |

|
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? |
유니콘이 기꺼이 너를 섬기겠으며 혹은 네 여물통 곁에 머물겠느냐? |

Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee? |
네가 능히 유니콘을 줄로 묶어 고랑을 갈게 하겠느냐? 혹은 그것이 너를 따라 골짜기에서 써레를 끌겠느냐? |

Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? |
그것의 힘이 세다고 네가 그것을 신뢰하겠느냐? 혹은 네가 수고할 일을 그것에게 맡기겠느냐? |

|
Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn? |
그것이 네 씨앗을 집으로 가져오며 네 곳간에 그것을 모아들이리라고 네가 믿겠느냐? |

Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? |
네가 공작에게 멋진 날개를 주었느냐? 혹은 타조에게 날개와 깃을 주었느냐? |

|
Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust, |
타조는 자기 알들을 땅 속에 버려두어 흙 속에서 따뜻하게 하고 |

|
And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. |
발이 그것들을 으깨거나 들짐승이 깨뜨릴 것도 잊어버리고 |

|
She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear; |
자기 새끼들을 무정하게 대하되 마치 제 새끼가 아닌 것처럼 하며 자기 수고가 헛될지라도 두려워하지 아니하나니 |

|
Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding. |
이는 하나님이 그것에게서 지혜를 빼앗고 그것에게 명철을 나누어 주지 아니하였기 때문이라. |

What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider. |
타조가 몸을 높이 들 때에는 말과 그 위에 탄 자를 비웃느니라. |

|
Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder? |
네가 말에게 힘을 주었느냐? 네가 그것의 목을 천둥으로 입혔느냐? |

|
Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible. |
네가 그것으로 하여금 메뚜기처럼 무서워하게 할 수 있느냐? 그것의 콧구멍의 영광은 두려우니라. |

|
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men. |
그것이 골짜기에서 땅을 박차고 자기 힘을 기뻐하며 나아가서 군사들을 맞되 |

|
He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword. |
두려움을 조롱하고 놀라지 아니하며 칼 앞에서도 돌아서지 아니하고 |

|
The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield. |
화살 통과 번쩍이는 창과 방패가 자기를 향하여 우르르 소리를 낼지라도 |

|
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet. |
맹렬히 성을 내며 땅을 삼키고 그것이 나팔 소리인 줄을 믿지 아니하며 |

|
He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting. |
나팔 소리들 속에서도, 하하, 하고 멀리서 싸움 냄새를 맡으며 대장들의 호령 소리와 외치는 소리를 듣느니라. |

Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south? |
네 지혜로 말미암아 매가 날며 남쪽을 향하여 날개를 펴느냐? |

Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? |
네 명령에 따라 독수리가 날아오르고 높은 곳에 보금자리를 만드느냐? |

She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. |
그것이 바위 곧 험준한 바위와 견고한 곳에 거하며 또 머물고 |

|
From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off. |
거기서 먹이를 찾으며 그것의 눈이 멀리 바라보고 |

|
Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she. |
그것의 새끼들도 피를 빠나니 죽임 당한 것들이 있는 곳에는 그것이 있느니라, 하시니라. |
