Elihu spake moreover, and said, |
엘리후가 말을 더 하며 이르되, |

|
Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's? |
그대가 말하기를, 내 의가 하나님의 의보다 더 많다, 하였으니 그대는 이것을 옳은 것으로 생각하느냐? |

| 욥 35:3 |
|
For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin? |
그대가 말하기를, 내가 내 죄로부터 깨끗하게 씻긴들 그것이 네게 무슨 이득이 되겠느냐? 또 내게 무슨 유익이 있겠느냐? 하였도다. |

|
I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee. |
내가 그대와 및 그대와 함께 있는 그대의 동료들에게 대답하리라. |

| 욥 35:5 |
|
Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou. |
하늘들을 바라보고 살펴보라. 그대보다 더 높은 구름들을 바라보라. |

| 욥 35:6 |
|
If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? |
그대가 죄를 지은들 그분을 대적하여 무슨 일을 하겠느냐? 혹은 그대의 범법이 많다 한들 그대가 그분께 무슨 일을 하겠느냐? |

|
If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? |
그대가 의로운들 그분께 무엇을 드리겠느냐? 혹은 그분께서 그대의 손에서 무엇을 받으시겠느냐? |

| 욥 35:8 |
|
Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man. |
그대의 사악함은 그대 같은 사람이나 해칠 것이요, 그대의 의는 사람의 아들이나 유익하게 하리라. |

| 욥 35:9 |
|
By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty. |
그들이 많은 학대로 인해 학대받는 자들을 부르짖게 만드나니 그들이 강력한 자의 팔로 인해 울부짖느니라. |

|
But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night; |
그러나 아무도, 나를 만드신 분 하나님 곧 밤에 노래들을 주시고 |

| 욥 35:11 |
|
Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? |
땅의 짐승들보다 우리를 더 많이 가르치시며 하늘의 날짐승들보다 우리를 더 지혜롭게 하시는 이가 어디 계시냐? 하고 말하지 아니하는도다. |

|
There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men. |
그들이 악한 자들의 교만으로 인하여 거기에서 부르짖으나 아무도 응답하지 아니하나니 |

| 욥 35:13 |
|
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. |
헛된 것은 하나님이 결코 듣지 아니하시며 전능자는 그것을 중히 여기지 아니하시리로다. |

| 욥 35:14 |
|
Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. |
비록 그대가 그분을 뵙지 아니하리라고 말할지라도 심판이 그분 앞에 있나니 그런즉 그대는 그분을 신뢰할지니라. |

|
But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity: |
그러나 이제 그렇지 못하므로 그분께서 친히 분노하사 벌을 주셨느니라. 그럼에도 그는 극심한 곤경 속에서도 그것을 알지 못하나니 |

|
Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge. |
그러므로 욥이 헛되이 자기 입을 열어 지식 없는 말을 많이 하는도다, 하니라. |
