Furthermore Elihu answered and said, |
또 엘리후가 응답하여 이르되, |

|
Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge. |
오 지혜로운 자들이여, 당신들은 내 말들을 들으라. 지식 있는 자들이여, 당신들은 내게 귀를 기울이라. |

| 욥 34:3 |
|
For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat. |
입이 음식을 맛보는 것 같이 귀가 말들을 시험하나니 |

| 욥 34:4 |
|
Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good. |
우리가 우리를 위하여 판단의 공의를 택하고 무엇이 선한지 우리끼리 알아보자. |

|
For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment. |
욥이 이르기를, 내가 의롭거늘 하나님께서 나의 공정함을 빼앗아 가셨도다. |

| 욥 34:6 |
|
Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression. |
내가 나의 바른 행위를 거슬러 거짓말을 하랴? 범법하지 아니하였어도 내 상처가 못 고칠 상처가 되었노라, 하였나니 |

|
What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water? |
어떤 사람이 욥과 같으리요? 그가 물 마시듯 비웃는 것을 마시며 |

| 욥 34:8 |
|
Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men. |
가서 불법을 행하는 자들과 한 패가 되어 사악한 자들과 함께 다니나니 |

| 욥 34:9 |
|
For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God. |
그가 이르기를, 사람이 하나님과 함께 기뻐하는 것이 그에게 아무 유익을 주지 아니한다, 하였도다. |

| 욥 34:10 |
|
Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity. |
그러므로 명철한 자들이여, 당신들은 내 말에 귀를 기울이라. 하나님은 결코 악을 행하지 아니하시며 전능자는 결코 불법을 행하지 아니하시나니 |

| 욥 34:11 |
|
For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways. |
그분께서는 사람의 행위대로 그에게 갚으시고 각 사람이 자기의 길들에 따라 얻게 하시느니라. |

| 욥 34:12 |
|
Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment. |
또한 참으로 하나님은 악하게 행하지 아니하시며 전능자는 심판을 굽게 하지 아니하시리로다. |

| 욥 34:13 |
|
Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world? |
누가 그분께 땅을 맡겼느냐? 또는 누가 온 세상을 배분하였느냐? |

| 욥 34:14 |
|
If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath; |
그분께서 만일 자신의 마음을 사람 위에 두시고 그의 영과 그의 숨을 자신에게로 거두신다면 |

| 욥 34:15 |
|
All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust. |
모든 육체가 함께 멸망하며 사람은 다시 흙으로 돌아가리라. |

| 욥 34:16 |
|
If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words. |
그대가 만일 지금 명철이 있거든 이것을 듣고 내 말소리에 귀를 기울이라. |

| 욥 34:17 |
|
Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just? |
의를 미워하시는 분이 다스리시겠느냐? 지극히 의로우신 분을 그대가 정죄하겠느냐? |

| 욥 34:18 |
|
Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly? |
왕에게, 당신은 사악하다, 하는 것이 합당하냐? 또 통치자들에게, 당신들은 경건치 아니하다, 하는 것이 합당하냐? |

| 욥 34:19 |
|
How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands. |
하물며 통치자들의 외모를 용납하지 아니하시며 부자를 가난한 자보다 더 중히 여기지 아니하시는 그분께 그리 말할 수 있겠느냐? 그들은 다 그분의 손에 의해 지어진 자들이니라. |

| 욥 34:20 |
|
In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. |
그들은 순식간에 죽으리니 백성은 한밤중에 괴로워하다가 사라지며 강력한 자들도 손을 대지 않고 제거되리로다. |

|
For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. |
그분께서 자신의 눈을 사람의 길들 위에 두시고 그가 가는 모든 길을 보시나니 |

| 욥 34:22 |
|
There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. |
불법을 행하는 자들이 숨을 만한 어둠이나 사망의 그늘이 없느니라. |
# |
| 욥 34:23 |
|
For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God. |
그분께서는 정당한 것 이상의 어떤 것도 사람에게 두지 아니하사 그가 하나님과 함께 심판 자리로 들어가지 못하게 하시며 |

| 욥 34:24 |
|
He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. |
용사들을 수도 없이 산산조각 내시고 그들 대신 다른 자들을 세우시느니라. |
# |
| 욥 34:25 |
|
Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. |
그러므로 그분께서 그들의 행위들을 아시고 그들을 밤사이에 뒤집어엎으사 멸망하게 하시는도다. |

| 욥 34:26 |
|
He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others; |
그분께서 그들을 사악한 자들로 여기사 다른 사람들이 환히 보는 데서 치시나니 |

| 욥 34:27 |
|
Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways: |
이는 그들이 그분에게서 돌이켜 물러가고 그분의 길들을 하나도 깊이 생각하지 아니하기 때문이라. |

| 욥 34:28 |
|
So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted. |
이처럼 그들이 가난한 자의 부르짖음이 그분께 이르게 하므로 그분께서 고난 받는 자의 부르짖음을 들으시느니라. |

|
When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: |
그분께서 고요함을 주실 때에 누가 소란하게 하겠느냐? 그분께서 자신의 얼굴을 숨기실 때에 누가 그분을 쳐다볼 수 있겠느냐? 한 민족에게 그리하시든지 한 사람에게만 그리하시든지 상관이 없나니 |

|
That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared. |
이것은 위선자가 통치하지 못하게 하사 백성이 올무에 걸리지 아니하게 하려 하심이로다. |

|
Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more: |
하나님께 이렇게 아룀이 참으로 합당한 일이니 곧, 내가 징계를 받았사온즉 다시는 죄를 짓지 아니하겠나이다. |

| 욥 34:32 |
|
That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more. |
내가 보지 못하는 것을 주께서 내게 가르치소서. 내가 불법을 행하였을지라도 다시는 아니하겠나이다, 하는 것이라. |

| 욥 34:33 |
|
Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest. |
그것이 그대의 생각대로 되어야 하겠느냐? 그대가 거절하든지 그대가 택하든지 그것을 갚아 주실 분은 그분이시요, 내가 아니니라. 그러므로 그대는 아는 것을 말하라. |

|
Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me. |
명철한 자들은 내게 말하고 지혜로운 자는 내 말에 귀를 기울일지니라. |

| 욥 34:35 |
|
Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom. |
욥이 지식 없이 말하였으니 그의 말들은 지혜가 없도다. |

| 욥 34:36 |
|
My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men. |
나는 욥이 끝까지 시험받기를 원하노니 이는 그의 대답들이 사악한 자들을 위한 것이기 때문이라. |

|
For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God. |
그가 자기 죄에 반역을 더하며 우리 가운데서 손뼉을 치고 하나님을 대적하는 말을 많이 하는도다, 하니라. |
